OOHMAA, in collaboration with representatives from the media agency market (Out of Home Buyers Committee) and a Steering Committee, made up of subject matter experts from OOHMAA members, has developed a Verification Standard that will provide transparency of Digital Out of Home (DOOH) campaign delivery and contribute to a strategic pillar for the sector, making the DOOH channel easier to understand and transact.

Out of Home verification platforms have been developing and evolving as media owners have continued to invest and grow the industry with new products across classic and digital formats and from this development comes the need for greater transparency around third-party independent campaign verification.

The Verification Standard applies to Digital Out of Home ad play verification for Share of Voice/Time Buys; Classic Out of Home Buys are currently not part of the Standard.

By ratifying a set of unified and agreed-upon industry verification principles, the Standard delivers a solid technical framework to assist with the adoption of new tools and market technologies as they emerge.

The team at OOHMAA would like to thank Lou Watkin, Vicki Anderson, Catherine Hamilton, David Turner, Richard Pook, Ben Poole, Rohan Prasad and OOHMAA’s Standard committee for their time and expertise on this project.
